After a pretty cool Texas spring, the blow dryer in your face humidity and heat of the summer are once again upon us. Cameron has been home for the past two weeks before his internship starts in Dallas and we've been loving every minute of it. Daily trips to the pool and family runs at the park have been keeping us busy yet relaxed (well as relaxed as one can be with three crazy little boys running around). Cameron drove to Dallas tonight to kick off our 9 weeks apart during his internship. I remain cautiously optimistic about my chances of retaining my sanity during this time period. Here are some pictures of the boys over the past few weeks.
Here Mac proudly displays the remnants of his pirate paint from a Rice MBA party.
The boys were so excited about their homemade Thomas masks, though admittedly I found them a little spooky looking once they were on and may have secretly disposed of them soon after.
Checking out the puddles in our apartment complex after a torrential rain.
The rest of the pics are from Mac's preschool class trip to the Braes Bayou Gradens and Ima Hogg Mansion. The poor woman was given such a heinous name but sure had a knack for home design and gardening. The grounds were gorgeous and the boys had a blast exploring. Also a shout out to the rich people who had their Magdalena Abakanowicz sculptures proudly displayed in their driveway. She was such a big influence on my art making as an undergrad and I'd never seen her work in person before. I'm not ashamed to admit that I sat peeking through their gate for several minutes after their gate closed, looking a little suspect to be sure.
