The Year of the Horse
Mac donning his 100 year old man look to celebrate the 100th day of school.
Let the Chinese New Year party begin! Mac was so excited about the new costume that he promptly popped off three buttons and had to be safety pined together for his performance at school.
We had a blast at the Chinese New Year festival at Mac's school. His class sang a killer rendition of I'm a little tea pot, in Chinese.
Here are some pics from Hamilton's last t-ball game of the season. He seemed to be having more fun towards the end of the season but those three inning games are a little much for a three year old's attention span thus he spent a good deal of time spinning around in the outfield and collecting leaves.
Mac showing off his Western/Chinese gardening clothes. The boys have become great gardeners, I can't wait until we have a yard and I can enjoy all of their free labor!

Christmas In Texas
Hamilton doing a little spaceship building to pass the time.
The boys having fun testing out the wares at Lowes.
The Hatch family Christmas card photo pre crop.
The joy of a birthday donut.
Mac singing at the winter concert
Xmas morning
The Texas chainsaw massacre at my dad's as Lachlan sets to work with his new set of power tools.
Ham had quite the birthday this year with parties and cakes galore.
And finally Mac was overjoyed to have his turn at caring for the class mascot Manee the manatee.

Sayings
I usually feel too tired or am too busy to write down cute things my kids say, but this gem from the car ride yesterday caused me to pull out the ol' pen and paper so I could record it for posterity or at least the grandparents.
Hamilton (pointing at a Salvador Dali painting): Look at these melty clocks.
Me: He painted things you might see in a dream.
Hamilton: (very serious) One time I had a clogged toilet in my dream.

Fall Pics
Fall festival at Mac's school.
I've been making some skirts and this one was not fit to be sold but it was just acceptable enough to be worn to church.
Mac has been playing YMCA soccer for the last few weeks. He really likes his coach but only seems to be interested in playing about a third of the time. He does love to run as fast as possible though during those times he does feel like playing as evidenced by shot below.
I had a great time going on Mac's first school fieldtrip with him and his kindergarten class to the Oil Ranch (a very Texas location).
My Dad and Marcela have just installed a hammock in their backyard and it has proved to be just as exciting as a trampoline.
Lachlan's original fashion choices deserve to be documented for posterity.
Mac has joined the gardening club which meets every Friday after school. The little brothers and I joined him one week much to Hamilton's delight and Lachlan's dismay.
Here are some pics and video of a preschool fieldtrip from Hamilton's co op. Hamilton has become quite the story teller these days, with his favorites being the three little pigs and the billy goats gruff.
Finally some amazing Halloween costumes courtesy of Cameron's efforts and a youtube tutorial.
